In entering Kestrel Ridge Summer Dressage Festival, you have
agreed to honour the rules and regulations as specified in
the prize list.
-
A rider may compete the same horse in two consecutive Levels
in one competition. e.g. Training & First Levels (in all
tests offered, providing they do not compete the same horse
in more than four (4) tests per day).

Freestyle
music must be on CD. Label the CD clearly with the rider’s
name, horse’s name and competition number and class
entered. Be sure only one piece of music is on the CD. It
must be given to the show secretary prior to the start of
the class so the announcer can do a sound check.

The
Show Office will be open on the day before the show from 2-7
pm. During the show, it will be open one hour prior to the
first class of the day and one hour after the last class of
the day.

A schedule of start times will be available three days prior
to the show (Tuesday, July 22, 2003). Riding
times will be posted at the show office and on the CA/ADA
web site or, if necessary, contact the Show Secretary between
7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Check with the show office (once you
are at the site) for availability of the warm-up ring.

Junior competitors must wear proper fitting, approved protective
headgear, with the safety harness correctly secured at all
times while mounted on competition or event grounds. Approved
headgear must meet the ASTM standards and display the SEI
seal. The British standard, BSI, is also acceptable”.(2003
Section E 2.20)

A
photographer may be available for photographs during the show.
Times will be posted at the show office.

A
current (within 6 months of the show) Coggins Test is required
for the Spring Show. If you have the test done in early April,
it will still be valid for the Nationals in September. You
do not have to have the test done before you submit your entry
form, but you will be required to produce a certificate
that the test has been completed before you will be allowed
to unload at the show.

Championship
Awards: Championship (IF SPONSORSHIP IS AVAILABLE) will be
determined by the average of the last two test scores at each
level plus the corresponding Freestyle; e.g. First Level 3
and 4 plus First Level Freestyle. Training, First, and Second
Levels includes riders from Junior, Adult Amateur and Open
categories.

Presentations
– There will be mounted presentations for sponsored
classes only. Riders must be properly dressed. If there is
no sponsor for the class, there will be no mounted presentations.
Ribbons and test papers can be picked up at the show office
once official results are posted.

| Closing
Date - Entries must be received by the Show Secretary
, Box 4, Site 2, RR #8, Calgary, AB T2J 2T9, and post marked
no later than midnight, Monday, July 7, 2003. Closing
dates will be carefully observed. All cheques and money orders are
to be made payable to Kestrel Ridge Farm Ltd. There is a $35.00
charge for cheques returned to the bank for any reason. |
| Class
Sizes –
The Show Committee reserves the right to limit class sizes in accordance
with EC rules. In the event a class is filled or cancelled, a full
refund will be made to those entries that cannot beaccommodated.
Entries rejected due to show size limitations will be notified by
July 15, 2003. |
| Late
Entries –
No late entries will be accepted. |

gets lost in the mail or delivered very late! (this has happened) |
Only

Phone
and fax entries will be not accepted. |
Cancellations
– There is no refund on stabling after the closing date.
Refunds of 100% of entry fees, less administration fees, will
be allowed until the closing. After the closing date, competitors
must provide a veterinarians/doctors certificate before 50% of
the entry fees, less administration fees, will be returned. No
refunds will be made after July 15, 2003. |
Passports
– Before a show number can be given, competitors must surrender
to the Show Secretary, a valid EC/FEI passport with a 2003 EC
Horse License for the horse being exhibited. Passports will be
returned when the numbers are returned. There will be a $20.00
charge for lost or damaged numbers. |
Security
– Kestrel Ridge Farm is a gated facility; there will not
be additional security provided. Kestrel Ridge Farm will not accept
responsibility of lost or damaged items on the show grounds or
stabling areas. Competitors are advised not to leave possessions,
including tack, unattended at any time. |
FEI
Junior - A person may compete as an FEI Junior from the
beginning of the calendar year in which he/she reaches the age
of 14 until the end of the calendar year in which he/she reaches
the age of 18. A person may compete as an FEI Pony competitor
from the beginning of the calendar year in which he/she reaches
the age of 12 until the end of the year in which he/she reaches
the age of 16. A Junior rider refers to riders under 18 years
of age. A person may compete as a Young Rider from the beginning
of the calendar year in which he/she reaches the age of 16 until
the end of the calendar year in which he/she reaches the age of
21. |

If
possible, leave dogs at home. At the show, all dogs must be
on a leash and under control at all times. “STOOP AND
SCOOP” rule applicable;

Kestrel Ridge Farm is a NON-SMOKING facility. NO SMOKING is
permitted on the show grounds;

There will be a catering service provided on site;
-
All trails will be closed during the show;
-
Parking of trailers and cars must be in designated areas;
-
Camping is available however, there are no hook-ups;
-
Please control your garbage and use containers provided.

- Kestrel
Ridge 2003 Summer Dressage Festival
- Kestrel
Ridge Farm will supply stabling Thursday Noon July 24/02 –
Sunday July 28/02.
- Out-of-town
horses will have stabling available Thursday morning. Any special
arrangements
required, please contact Kestrel Ridge Farm Manager.
- No day
stalls are available.
- Kestrel
Ridge Farm will provide initial bedding. There will be bagged
shavings and hay for sale.
- Please
enquire at the show office.
- Horses
are to be stabled in the assigned stalls only. Grooming , tack-up
and braiding must be
done in the stalls. All aisles are to be kept clean and unobstructed.
- Tack stalls
are available.
- Anyone
using an empty stall will be charged $65.00/day.
- Stalls
must be left clean and garbage removed before passports can
be returned.
